Typhoon Tom will post his build here.

Have you decided what you are building Tom?

Hello Lancfan,
I'm thinking of a Panzer IV either abandoned due to: running out of petrol and the crew tried to set fire to the Panzer but it never caught alight so there would just be some burn/smoke makrs or a Panzer that has been hit and the ammunition set alight.
I have looked on Google Images and found some interesting ones that could be useful in this group build.
I believe that this kit is accurate (I hope so )

Regards Tom.

Well today I got my paints and of course my Panzer IV.
I'm eager to get cracking!

Regards Tom.

Thanks Starfighter.
Over the next couple of weeks, I will look for more kits to make for this group build. So I dont just have the one. Maybe a plane or boat subject. :)

Regards Tom.

I have had a few more ideas:
A Beached Torpeado Boat
A plane in a steap dive towards the sea/land

Regards Tom.

The theme is about a Panzer abandoned due to running out of fuel and being abandoned by its crew who tried to set fire to it  :)

Good idea for the dio, I have one of these tanks in my stash and have it lined up for the Barbarossa GB.

I built this kit a few month back. Great little kit as I remember it with very few (and minor at that) faults :D Can't wait to see your finished article!

Thanks for the interest in this :) I had one minor problem whilst building today and that was with the turret, the front bit where the barrel joins the tank (sorry for the technical jargon  ) did not connect properly, so another thing to put on my to do list.
*Note to self upload photos tomorrow

I think the part you mean is the mantlet, this is the armoured shield that protects the gun, its mountings and the interior of the turret from attack.

David.
