I am surprised that no mention has been made of the rather impressive C-130 Hercules. Gunship, Tanker, Freighter, Para Dropper, Coastguarder, Fire Fighter etc etc etc

Heller's old DC-6 is also quite big if you can find one.

Jesper.

I'd second the C-130 as they look really neat in the Arctic red schemes.

But what about the Zvezda Petlyakov Pe-8?  Not only is an aesthetically pleasing plane the size of a Ju-290 or B-29 but it's a spectacular model.  It's one of the few kits that has beautifully sculpted crew at their stations actually handling their weapons.

Airfix Superfortress and Revell Stratofortress.  The Super Constellation looks awesome!  If the Lancaster doesn't do it for you, how about the Airfix Short Stirling?  Great kit!

As far as I know, no-one has produced the one I would really like yet - 1/72 Beriev A-40 Albatross - not the biggest by anymeans (60cm wingspan), but it's got a certain something in the looks department. I'll just keep dreaming.
