The most important point is that you have fun with your builds!

Ayup SL... Some neat looking paintwork... Just beware the All-seeing eye of the Macro Lens ! The Decals look like you used Microset and Sol, the Decs ar nicely sucked into those Panel lines. Did you use them ? It would help too t do all your filling before paint too. But looking Canny my friend...

i don't actually know what those things are? must do research! and, yes i agree, filling needs to be done first, only worked that one out after painting   oh well, i'll learn, this model is my first one back from a long break, so bound to muck up a bit   thanks for the advice, will definitely look into microset and sol.

Ayup Dave... It shouldn't be a problem if you do your filling carefully. And yes, that's the fun of Learning. (for the hole on the wing, put a Tamiya Tape 'Cordon' around the Hole, so there's only a limited area of damage done when you apply your filler, and buy a spatula-type applicator to put the stuff in, or use the rounded end of a Teaspoon  or similar.)  I should look in Top Tips and Techniques for most everything you need to know. off the main Homepage. Have fun Mate. :thumb:

To be honest - I wouldn't try to fill that gap, too much chance of messing up the paint work. I'd just leave it.
It probably shows up worse under the flash than it does sitting on a shelf.

Nice job on the Spit, :thumb:

Very nice work there, Dave :)

I got back into this a year ago and I can tell you that your first model after a 15 year gap is really good ( way better then mine was   ).

Great platform to build on there :thumb:
