Some members of this forum have made posts both on Greger's The Unofficial Airfix Forum and here that have caused some friction between the two forum. As a result a couple of members of Greger's forum have threatened a flame war with this forum in retaliation. This is completely unacceptable and Greg is taking necessary action against those members. I have also taken action here.

I haven't read all the posts made on the two sites and I believe some were deleted on Greg's site. The posts that were pointed out to me on this site were comments about moderators on Greg's forum. They did not strike me as particularly offensive by the time I read them late last night but they may have been altered during the day. Even so, this forum is not the place to discuss such matters. Greg's forum is the place to discuss the moderation of his forum, not here.

Both Greg and I are extremely annoyed by this behaviour and will take all action that is necessary to ensure the continuation of the good relationship that normally exists between the two forum (after all there are a high percentage of people who are members of both). This action could include suspensions and permanent bans. Any person from either forum who gets banned for flaming will be banned from both of our forum.

If that doesn't stop the flaming then Greg and I will shut down our both of our sites. Draconian steps indeed but we would rather do that than the sites ruined by such behaviour. Also Airfix have been very supportive of this forum so far and I would hate for them to turn away in disgust.

To all those who wish to indulge in flame wars then here is a message for you. Go now and don't come back.

Dave
