1/48 scale is 50% bigger than 1/72, if that's what you meant Luke, so a 1/48 Belvedere will be half as big again as the Airfix kit.

I would suggest that using complete sentences is probably the best way to go in order to ensure that you receive more reliable replies!

The Belvedere is actually the only helicopter in my collection and stash (excluding the Rotodyne), so I've no other helicopters to compare it to. It is about 25cm from tip to tail though.
I'm sure some people go a bundle on them, but helicopters don't really do anything for me. It was nice to have a go at something different though, and these old rivet queens are always an interesting challenge.

Seeing it with the Lifeboat got me thinking it would have made a great SAR helicopter, I can imagine it in overall yellow, or even in Canadian SAR colours

It really is quite a big thing isn't it.....As for an SAR role, I wouldn't fancy dangling in the downdraft of that lot too much!
