I've now touched up a few "invisible" parts such as the gear door insides (H11) and the missile runners and rocket launcher pylons (H64). I've added the pin to each set of rotor blades and the "cap" on the top of the rotor hubs. Finally, I've Kleared both of the helicopter fuselages to seal the decals in. Only a coat of mattcote now needed and the fuselages will be complete.
Here's the two choppers this evening before the Klear was applied just to show the declas (of which there aren't many). they were reasonable with the white areas on the newer Hind-A being especially good and not in the least bit transparent.
I'm away again til after the weekend so no progress (unless Paula takes pity on me in my absence and touches up a few bits!)

Well ladies and gents, after a couple of weeks away from serious modelling, the last 28 hours has seen serious progress to the point that both of the Hinds are finished. This is the first of two posts and shows the Hind-A which I actually finished, bar a tiny touch up of the tyres, last night at about 23.00.
As from the previous post, my trailing build became the lead build! I had a few difficulties with this one, notably the rotors. I have deliberately modelled it with the rotors in the "pitch-up" position as if power was being applied for take off but I did have an issue with getting the pin to fit correctly into the hole in the top of the fuselage. Also, I had problems with the Matt Cote so that, in the end, I had to apply three separate coats. Still, in the end the effort was worth it and, even though this is my least favourite of the pair of Hinds, I'm pleased with the result. One pic will appear here and the rest in the gallery:
Hind-D will appear in a mo....

Is it just me, or does the front end of the -A remind anyone else of a Velociraptor?
Nice builds both, Dan! _________________ Cheers,

Thanks Adrian!
Here's the second of the two, Hind-D, finished today. I always, even as a sprog, thought that this was the most purposeful, most evil looking helicopter that I'd ever seen. I still believe that and I absolutely love it! There's no mistaking what it's for...
...and... ...relax!
