| Is it just me or are the instructions with the WEM PE for Belfast a little less detailed than others? I must confess to having to read them a few times to try and make sense. Looking at instructions for Hood and Ajax, they are very detailed with exact and precise instructions, whilst Belfast seem to be almost vague in detail. I find this hard to believe as she is probably one of the more complex kits to try and detail, maybe Its just me!!!! |

I must admit I was not very impressed, but as this was my first venture I thought all PE instructions were like it _________________ and was Jerusalem, builded here

OK guys help needed. Looking at the fwd funnel, the WEM instructions show a small platform fitted to the front of the funnel and obviously this would need a ladder to access it.
Checking Anatomy and Profile I can see a platform fitted just after build on the fwd funnel then none shown at the time of North Cape and finally another fitted after her early 60's refit but this os on the Aft funnel.
Help!!!
I am basing the model on North Cape so what do I go for?
Come on Dave you are the fountain of all knowledge. Platform must have been for access to sirens any help welcome

Ratch, Chippy - how many pages of instructions did you have with the WEM PE? I have one doublesided sheet of A4 but now I'm nearing the end of the build. I've still got loads of bits of PE left. some of which I have no idea what they're for. I've also noticed that there's clearly a couple of sets for the Walrus (too damn late) that aren't mentioned at all on the sheet I have, unless I'm being particularly thick.
Am I missing a page?
Cheers
