Jan 17th is far to long to wait ...

Anyway I think I better tell you what my group build helicopter will be about. I will hopefully be making the Westland Lynx parts to build a Pennine Helicopter
http://www.penninehelis.co.uk/longranger.php
Which I went on for my sisters 18th birthday!

I've already had a go of it and it turned out rather successful (Well I was happy with it!), I will scan some pictures to show you

I'm currently got the old instructions in my hand. I'm crossing and writing out what I need to do to make it into the Pennine Helicopter.

A LOT OF Research will be needed along with some patience but hopefully I can pull it off!

I will also hopefully make a diorama with buying the JB Models Jeep (or the Airfix!) which was there and then BUY some plastic card and try to make the shop trailer thing that was there!

So then; I will need ...
Westland Lynx £6.99,
Plastic Card £0.75,
Figures £?.??,
Lichen thing £?.??,
JB Models Jeep £4.25,

Wish me luck!

Here is the things I need to do to make it similar ;

1. Cut two of the machine things that attach the blades. Not using Parts 4 and 2.
2. Use one of the machine things that attach the blades as a prop to 'stick it more up in the air'.
3. Only use one control stick.
4. Dont use the bench seat, add both parts 29 instead
5. Make a window near the cabin and fill it with WHITE GLUE!
6. Use Plastic Card for separating the cockpit and the 'cabin'
7. Cut of two blades of the small rotors.
8. Cut the Tail Boom!
9. Add a zig zag out of the old propeller that I have cut off
10. Make
11. Instead of engines being on the side use one and put it on top of the helicopter
12. Use part 98
13. Look in the spares box for some skids
14. I'm not sure what there called but I need to make the things that are like wings ....

I think that's it and then I need to make the JB Models Jeep along with the Ticket Office!

Hey Heggy,

How's the Lynx with a twist coming along?

Have you managed to make a start yet?

Paula

Sorry Paula for not updating this!

Hmm yeah, I'm not sure. I've got the money but since Revell are making a Bell Jet Ranger this year its going to make my job easier ....
But its in 1/32 so I'm not sure. But I think I will still make the Lynx!
