Canopies are now on, aerial wire fitted and decals applied. Just got to pop on a couple of layers of MattCote, touch up some areas and it's done. Could this be another one finished before the deadline ? _________________ Cheers,

All finished. One or two rough edges, as ever, but I'm fairly pleased with it. Looks like a Beaufighter to me!
In the end, the decals were a combination of spares (fuselage roundels & tail bars from the Airfix Typhoon I built last year), aftermarket (wing roundels & code letters) and kit originals (serials, nose code letter & various stencils). You should be able to see that the hyphen in the fuselage codes is slightly lighter than the letters - I used the kit decal and it was out of register and translucent!
More pics in the gallery. _________________ Cheers,

Good build Adrian, but one thing to remember is that the red segment of the fin flash (tail bars?!) always faces front on British military aircraft.

D'oh! I can never remember which way it goes... Having said that, I checked the instructions, and it looked like the red was at the back - difficult to tell in black and white of course. Should have just looked at the box

But you knew what I meant... do you just sit there waiting to correct me when I give things the wrong name? _________________ Cheers,
