I'm going to be a  bit behind with this one as I've just started the Raf anniversary group build and still a harrier in the harrier group build to finish.

Also work commitments in May and june mean I am going to forgo my attempted build of the Vulcan or 1/48 Jag GR Mk3 in the Jag mottled end of era scheme. It would take a month to apply the decals.

So to keep it easy it is likely to be the Lightning F3, Spitfire VC or hawker hunter of the black diamonds.

Have finally commenced work on the Spitfire. started painting wheels and cockpit areas.

The kit is an update of the 1974 spitfire VB with new wings, canopies and decals. The old tooling wings come with the kit as well !. Pictures to follow

As Top Gun is going to be making the desert version, I'll be making the Pacific version.
Compared with most kits i've been building recently, this has been very easy to assemble. All parts have fitted exactly ( apart from the carburetor - but this depends on how steady your hand is when sawing). A bit of filler around here and the wing roots will sort it.
Fuselage halves have been joined together with the wings and taped to get the right angle.

Will attach the carb at some point today and start filling !
