Spotted this..

http://fullscalefalcon.com/

Hope he finishes it. Found the website after watching this news report

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-20536090. I like the ambition.  Great idea.

Hmmm....
That will be rather large model.....
Bit like when the man in Oz rang up the National Maritime Museum and asked for plans too build the Endeavour- what scale are building your model asked the museum person- 1:1 he answered to a stunned silence.
Stuart
ps Of course they then built it and I've seen it.

Hi all,

The full scale Falcon has been built before in England. Some American chap got some of his friends to build one for a film in the early 80's. Can't remember exactly which one, but it featured a lot of snow

Good luck with the new project.

Mark.

I'm sure in the BBC news report he mentioned that he had 22 acres...   Hmmm...  I wonder how much space a 1:1 Star Destroyer would take..  :D
