Here are the choices for the next Group Build. Please post any replies in the "New Build Anyone?" thread.

Destroyers includes the 1/600 Destroyer Set and 1/400 HMS Montgomery and NHoMS St Albans.

WWI includes HMS Iron Duke, HMS Warspite or HMS Nelson.

Kriegsmarine includes any German warship.

I voted destroyers,   I would have gone for the Kriegsmarine however my Narvik is almost complete as is my E-boat.
Still hunting for a 1/600 Graf Spee

Hey all

I voted Falklands but will be happy if any of the middle three win.

I missed the discussion, so apologies if this has already been explained, but why would WW1 be limited to HMS Iron Duke and HMS Warspite, and why include HMS Nelson, which dated from the 1920s?

WW1 subjects tooled by Airfix would also include HMS Hood, HMS Repulse, and SS Mauretania, sister to Lusitania and also used as a troopship in a really cool dazzle scheme.

So there is in fact a choice of five WW1 subjects. You'd need to hack Hood and Repulse around a fair bit to backdate them, but no more so than Warspite.

I doubt I'd participate, but I'd love to follow a build of any of these.

Would not any of the four pipers count for the WWI build?

Wouldn't HMS Campbeltown qualify for WWI if it was finished in her original American fit?

OK, for WWI, that would be for any WWI ship. I made a mistake with HMS Nelson, its not WWI.

For HMS Illustrious, I put that in as that is expected soon.

I set the poll for eight days, so it should be finished. The winner is Falklands with four votes, although it does not have a majority. Does anyone want to have another poll with the choice of the following?

Destroyers
Falklands
Kriegsmarine

I voted for Kriegsmarine, but I also kits in the stash for the  Destroyers as well.  I'll agree to a second vote, but I can pick up the Falklands set from the LMS if need be.
