Another nice little "fun" build. Of course you will be wondering how he can be doing a space walk when the wheels are down. Well, he is fixing an undercarriage fault - in space.

There's a button you press, and the little astronaut pops out on his spring! No?... Awww.

Looks great Dave! :thumb:

Shouldn't the word 'Atlantis' be aft of the Orbiter Windows?

If you take the time to look carefully at pictures, 1, 2 and 4, you can see the word "Atlantis" on the forward end of the cargo doors.

Here's mine - built about 1992.

I just read on Wikipedia that Atlantis flew the final shuttle mission, and is to be displayed at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex.

No,I mean the word 'Atlantis' should be aft of the windows, but not on the cargo bay door.Only Enterprise and Columbia had their names on the bay door.By the time Atlantis became operational, the placement of the names had been changed.

Another thing to note:The tail fin of Atlantis wasn't black above the rudder/air brake.Again, only Columbia had that portion black.
