I did a HIstory Makers edition of the Nike Hercules and got interested in doing another missile then another, and I wound up with a collection of all the Revell 1950's anti-aircraft rockets. They've all been released several times in various guises with the exception of the Terrier. To my knowledge it was only released once and the price I paid for it is testimony to that. I suppose if the fellow I bought if from thought I was going to actually built it, he might have had second thoughts. Anyway, I did up a nice display, the signs for which are in some of these shots and I did bases that reflected where they would have been placed. Enjoy this stroll down memory lane.

First off, the Nike Ajax.

Then the NIke Hercules

Next the BOMARC

Then the Talos. The only misisle to shoot down two aircraft with one missile. Went through the first MIG in Nam and hit another further on. This one is painted as a target drone.

Seen all over Western Europe, the Homing All the Way Killer, HAWK.

And finally, that elusive Terrier. It's a Mark I missile, which was rather quickly replaced with the Mk II, which had a very different look.

Exellent. I didn't know that Revell did the Bomarc - which I thought was only done by Aurora in 1:48.

Great display. Monogram, Aurora and Comet also did some US missile kits in the late 1950s.

That Terrier is "the bee's knees."

I build the HAWK with my dad. I have very fond memories of that.

I keep hoping that the BOMARC will be rereleased, since R/M seem to be doing that a lot.

A rapier took out 2 aircraft in the Falklands too. Well it hit one Skyhawk which tumbled into another . Mac McGiffen was the operator.
