Built this model as I felt like a change from my usual ship builds. It was good fun to do.

Very nice, but add a 1-2mm black ring just below the nosecone of the left SRB, its very noticble in photos

Tombo1bo, the picture I was referring to was NASA Photo 108-KSC-82PC-245 showing Columbia on the launch pad. This doesn't show a black ring. I'm not too into spacecraft but from what I can see from the various photos I consulted, the black rings on the boosters seem to vary from flight to flight. As I say, I didn't research this build too deeply and I'd appreciate any information you can give me.

That's a very nice build.

Mine gave me lots of trouble - especially the doors to the cargo bay. In the end I glued them shut but the gaps were horrendous.
