Thought I'd make a thread of my builds in progress so here they are:

Willey's Jeep from the Buffalo and Jeep Kit:

Image

I did thicken up the wheels on this kit as they do tend to look as if the Jeep has been on a crash diet   Loaded it with stowage and now just needs a coat of paint on the stowage and some weathering (It's the closest to being finished...........possibly   )

Next up a Revell M7 Priest in 1/76 scale (it's the old Matchbox moulding!):

Image

Will get the hull constructed completely I reckon before I add the wheels and tracks!

Finally  I started this evening the Revell M14 halftrack (again the old Matchbox kit), just got the chassis complete and now leaving it to set hard before continuing with the hull construction:

Image

Hopefully I'll add to this thread as time goes on just to keep you abreast of the builds I am doing!
Thanks for dropping in!

Steve

Quick up date on the progress of builds on the go at the mo!

Image

The jeep now has Klear applied ready for the one and only decal and has had the stowage painted and a rope slung around the front bumper.

Image

The Halftrack is starting to resemble something Halftracky!

Image

The M7 Priest now has wheels on one side and finally a shot of another work in progress, my attempt at a Churchill Snake Carrier!

Image

Gonna be fairly busy I suspect as the 'Donated Figures' group build has just commenced too, which is a bit of a departure from my normal AFVs

Those white metal jobbies certainly make a difference and make the jeep look a lot more busier.

Jeep now complete and a picture can be seen in my portfolio.  The Priest now has a second set of wheels and the Half track is about ready for a first coat of Olive Drab..........oh and as the 'donated figures' GB is now underway the 42nd Highlander is now about to commence.  What with the 1/32 Crusader (although on hold) as well that makes 5 on the go at the mo'  and I have an itchy feeling to start my Famo & SD Ah116 that 'Santa' brought at Christmas too

Got some paint on the Halftrack and the M7 Priest and also made a start on the 42nd Highlander for the GB.  Progress of that one can be found at Corricon's Donated Figures Build and won't be reported here any more

Latest update on my progressions:

Halftrack:  Now at the stage where it just needs the sub assemblies putting together and the tracks fitting, then it's some paint!

Image

Churchill Snake Carrier:  One track now fitted and cemented to the hull, progress is a bit slow at the moment.

Image

Now a new project (that now makes 6), the Revell Puma 234/2 (changed my mind on the Famo for the time being):  At the point of a first coat of paint.

Image

Nothing else has progressed since and there'll be no progress tonight as I've just got in from the Picture House.  Might get some more done tomorrow

Thanks for dropping by!

Latest update from my workbench:

First the Halftrack:
On Friday night/ Saturday morning I managed to get everything into two sub assemblies and finished the olive drab and Kleared the areas for decals and today I added the decals.  All is now ready for some matt varnish and then onto the weathering:

Image

Next the M7 Priest:

Have now added the front section and in the proicess of building up the gun.  The instructions are not that clear on building the gun so having to take this slowly:

Image

And finally for this weekend a first coat of paint on the the Puma 234/2:

Image

More over the coming week with luck!
Thanks for looking in!

Quick update, although no pictures tonight as I've just finished.  (Try and get some taken tomorrow)
Now got the Matt varnish on the halftrack and the guns have now been painted up so it just needs the guns cementing in the back and some weathering and perhaps a little stowage.
The Puma has had the camouflage added (red/brown and green).
The M7 has had the tyres on the wheels painted.
The Churchill snake now has the other side assembled to the hull and the wheels and sprockets have been painted.
Oh and yesterday I started a Hasegawa Sherman and that has the hull assembled and its wheels have been painted ready to assemble to the hull (nice and quick so far   )

Thanks again for stopping by, next instalment tomorrow with luck!

Added some stowage last night to the Halftrack so just needs some paint now plus the weathering:

Image

Am trying to get this one done this week so hopefully the next shot will appear in my portfolio

Hope to have some more progress over the next couple of days with the M7 and Puma!
