More will follow.

More progress with the Jeep. Have now got a coat of OD on it, so the next move for this one will be the decals:

Image

Also as I have just finished a couple of kits I thought I'd have another go at the Airfix/JB Models Bedford MK although with this conversion kit:

Image

After more hours than I thought I finally managed to get to this stage:

Image

The 'load' comes from Wee Friends and is supposed to be a wartime load, but I think it will pass for the MK. A little while later I had reached this stage:

Image

For some reason the resin parts just did not want to play. There was a lot of heavy flash on the parts and the smaller parts were not cast that well, however it does appear to make up into a fair representation of the 4 tonner with the tilt removed.

More progress this morning with the Bedford MK. Some paint added to the truck bed and also the load plus the interior is now painted apart from the seats:

Image

The Bedford QL Refueller kit bash is moving along now, as well as the Matador Refueller update. They both have had some pre paint, especially the QL for the yellow top. Both tanks are still dry fitted at present:

Image

Finally the Jeep is still progressing as the 106mm gun is now assembled and the areas on the Jeep are 'Kleared' ready for decals:

Image

I think the 'steel' on the gun needs toning down a little.
More to follow

The load out on the Bedford looks great. It really brings a lot to the model compared to an empty bed.

Thank you, I think the trucks look better 'loaded' too.
Another session this afternoon sees the decals on the Jeep:

Also I have chosen my next build which will be one of these:

with the following conversion kit:

More will follow, thanks for looking :thumb:

As I did not have full access to the study/office where I make my models, because SWMBO was working from home today, I was confined to a build morning in the dining room. So I made a start with the Armoured Jeep conversion and after a couple of hours I had these assemblies ready for some paint:

Image

I then looked out a 1/76 scale British Army trailer that came with the JB Models Land Rovers and constructed that to go with the Bedford MK that I'm building:

Image

and finally I started another Jeep kit this time the M151A2 Hard Top Jeep and trailer:

Image

and here's where I'm at with this one, engine assembled and added to the body:

Image

All in all a good mornings work, however I did manage to knock over a bottle of liquid poly, fortunately well away from the builds but it doesn't half hum!
More to follow, thanks for looking in :thumb:

I have also completed the M38 Jeep:

Well done! I don't think you've built enough jeep variants though - give us more!!

Some more progress. First this time another Jeep this time the Armoured variety. Have managed to get the body assembled to the chassis after paint and I've now started to add the after market stowage:

Image

I have also added a bit more paint to the open topped Bedford MK and trailer. It'll be an army camouflaged version this time purely as I don't have a black/green one in the 'fleet':

Image

A bit of touching in is going to be needed on the black camouflage.
More to follow, thanks for looking :thumb:

Some neat work going on here. :clapping:
The Bedford is my sentimental favourite but I also love the engineering solution for 'gun vs windscreen'. "I doesn't fit" - "Just make it fit!!".

Good progress made yet again enough to see the Bedford MK open body truck and trailer now completed:

Image

More pictures in the relevant galleries.
I have also made progress with the QL Refueller kit bash and now have the tank fitted along with some of the main pipework:

ImageImage

The cab though is still dry fitted in order to mask the tank for painting.
More to follow.

Thanks Mike, it turned out better than I expected it would when I first started it.

Simply brilliant - wish my 1/35 builds looked as good! Particularly impressed by the Camo net on the Bedford - is that part of the Wee Friends load, or an addition of your own?
