More progress today, although it's a building day.
Initially I thought I'd start with this one:
Image

I'm also going to utilise the following:

Image

Made a start and after around an hour I had these:
ImageImage

The driver is only dry fitted at present as I'll have to paint him and his seat (as they are all in one) before installation.
Next I moved onto the M31 Lee TRV and added some of the white metal parts:
Image

Have also managed to get the RAF yellow bars on the MK too:

More will follow, thanks for looking :thumb:

Its amazing, what bits and pieces, there is out there for modelling now. I like the box art for the Bedford. Does the Airfix kit come with figures?

Progress a pace today in that I've got the 1/35 Armoured Jeep finished:

Image

The Bedford MK is not far behind, it's had it's final decals and now just needs some varnish, the tarp ropes 'picking out' in brown and some light weathering:

More soon.

that 4 Tonner looks great, nice finish, and an effective colour separation between the body and the tilt. Looking in on the 1/48 Bedford too.

I've now found a backdrop to use with my photos, so here's the last three builds utilising it:

I think it makes a world of difference to the finished article IMHO.

More progress. As the Bedford has now left the bench then I thought I'd have another crack at one of these:

Image

After a couple of hours or so I had this:

ImageImage

As you can see I have enhanced it with some white metal stowage (again from SandSModels) and also some HAT British Tank Riders.
Next I turned my attention to the LEE M31 TRV and fitted the crane assembly and the other parts to the turret:

ImageImage

Next up I will have to extend the rear boxes on the hull and then both will be up for some paint.
More to follow, thanks for looking :thumb:

:wow: Excellent builds and excellent background, Corricon!
I like specially that Crusader ARV, it's a very unusual vehicle.

Thanks for your kind comments people :thumb:
I actually managed some more progress this afternoon with the M31 TRV. It now has it's rear stowage boxes extended in length and width out to the edge of the hull:

More tomorrow with luck.

Hi, Corricon; I like this later model! What's that long tube in the back of the turret of the M31?

Danny, the TRVs did not carry main guns. The long tube is a dummy gun as is the sponson gun. The jib would be swung around to the rear which would have the dummy gun facing forward and at a distance it would look like it was armed like every other tank.

Thanks, Corricon! I thought the A Frame jib was used to the front of the vehicle.

Looking at photos I've seen on the Web, Danny, it could be used front or back, I'm guessing it was used at the back whilst towing a vehicle and on the front for lifting things.
But that's only my thoughts.

As I couldn't get into the 'Office' today as SWMBO was working from home I was relegated to the Dining Room table where all I'm allowed to do is build.
So first off I completed the final parts of the build of the Airfix QL refueller kit bash that is under way. It now has it's booms, exhaust and front details:

Image

So next up is some painting before I add the glazing.
I have also made some headway with the Bedford MWD in so much as the main parts of the cab are assembled, along with the body/canvas back. Here it is with the body and after market wheels dry fitted:

ImageImage

As the body is a fairly tight fit I may well not cement the body once complete otherwise you would not be able to see the pilots that I will be fitting in the back.
More tomorrow.
With luck it should be a painting day :yahoo:
