Here you will find my non-Group Build items at the back of my workbench.
Firstly a continuation from last year, repainting Revell's 02581 British Rifles and two sets of Italeri 6083 British 95th Regiment “Green Jackets” Napoleonic Wars that I started at the beginning of July last year

Coming together now Ratch. I especially like the chap in the middle of the second picture. There are hordes of them so it's hardly an unreasonable amount of time to be working on them especially given the other builds you've done. If I were you I'd need to keep taking breaks for the eye strain too.

Cheers lads :D While I was painting these today, it made me remember how I used to paint Subuteo players as a kid, making the strips more accurate

Be careful  At least you won't have to set them out in nice neat rows. Correct me if I'm wrong, the "Green Jackets", were the first Regiment, to allow the men to fight independently, (modern tactics)?

Just pulled these three from the stash
Image

To go with the Sahariana I got these Wee Friends figures
Image
The tan figure goes with the Carro Armato M 13/40

The five extra heads that came with the Wee Friends gave me the opportunity to swap some heads in the Airfix 01757 Italian Infantry

The figures are coming on great Ratch. When ADM, gets his figures finished you two could re-enact the Napoleonic wars.

I need my brother-in-law to sort out his circular saw to make a shed-load of bases first :orc:

In the mean time it's on with the Carro Armato M 13/40

I don't know how old this tooling is, but it doesn't feel very new. I think a modern tooling would have been somewhat different; not that it's bad, the detail is quite crisp 8-)

The Camionetta AS 42 Sahariana does feel more modern (though I expect someone will identify them as the same age  ) and again, the detail looks good to me
Image
Image
I have a crew from Wee Friends that will feature with this, and there's the driver :P

I've just started the Autoblinda AB 41 and my initial impression is that this and the Sahariana are closely related with identical chassis :geek:
Image

Some of the Vallejo paint is rubbing off the figures as I handle them to add further colours  I intend to go through the pallet before retouching wherever necessary

Could be the plastic, that your new models are made out of too, (my nemesis Mach 2 brand, are made from really hard plastic, and not easy to cut).

Thanks for stopping by Mike :)
The bulk of the Carro is complete...

paint next :snack:

The Autoblinda moves forward...

After several rounds of painting and re-touching the Italian Infantry are almost done...

Then I remembered I'd intended to give them a wash

The Italian stuff looks very cool Ratch, I've not seen it in this scale before. Then again, I haven't looked far outside of Airfix and Matchbox yet
