Just picked up an example of the Stalin re-release. Moulded in the new pale grey with new decals (star and Guards badges). Will post some photos soon.

Saw one in Fenwicks at Brent Cross this afternoon. £16 but I withstood the temptation.

Decals are for a 1943 floatplane and a 1941 wheeled Crete invasion aircraft. The latter looks very snazzy.

With difficulty I withstood the urge to buy one. Someone else please do a demo build!

I picked up an old boxing at a show this year for I think £10, it should be appearing as a demo build sometime soon, on floats.

I did a comparison build of the old Airfix Ju-52( which is same plastics as "new" one" against the Italeri Ju-52, and there is a nice one being built in the current Seaplanes GB which is worth looking at :thumb:

Whilst perusing the LMS today I spotted two unusual things- a new tool Airfix Swordfish and the long awaited 1/48th Lightning. How has this happened? Both are listed on the Airfix website as 'pre-orders' and have seen or heard no official announcement that either are out. I know the Lightning has been awaited by many and indeed I intend to get several   but why was there no announcement? :?

The Lightning, Swordfish, Duck, T 34 are out and available online and in the shops but bizarrely only as a pre order from Airfix. Just bought mine :D
