Looks like I might have to get one with the new decals and weapons to go with the 3 I bought last time round.

Wow, I hadn't even thought that it might be Japan-only. I hope not.

Airfix may even have corrected the cockpit problems.  :wink:

I should imagine we will see it released in the UK like the previous Stratos release. It's obviously a popular subject in Japan for it to be re released in an upgraded form.

Yes, and RAF markings for the standard TSR2 will be included again.

Maybe they will release it as an Airfix Club only model.

I thought the stratos 4 version came with the instructions and decals to keep it as a TSR.  The Stratos 4 version would have a very limited market in the UK otherwise.

I wonder if the HMS Dragon decals included have the dragon on the bow delivery scheme.

But as I have mentioned in the club 2013 thread ... Nobody this year is getting sent the brochure or even a link to it - until they pay their 2013 subs....   If you opt for the £20 renewal you get kit and book.  £10 no kit no book and 3 newsletters posted out over year ... according to their facebook page update last week ...  The download options will I guess still have it all  downloadable ...

But I thought the promise was that as a member of the club you get first view of the catalogue, therefore it should be sent out to those who are members at the time (or just before) it is released.

Quoted from Airfix.com club page 23/12/12 http://www.airfix.com/official-airfix-club-membership/

Being a member of the Airfix Club you will get to enjoy;
4. Exclusive first view of the new catalogue before general publication.

Yep, that's what it says. So hopefully our catalogues are in transit, otherwise one of the attractions of the Airfix Club will be lost.

I will be delighted to be proved wrong... But I have had my renewal paperwork - and have made calls to them at Melton Mowbray who confirmed no catalogue this year if your membership spans 31-Dec.  I then sent  Margate a customer query but had no response to it todate; and also read their Facebook update from 4 days previous - ie Thursday evening shortly after the catalogue preview on website on Wednesday last.

Club benefits for 2013 are now ... 3 magazines a year not 4 ...

Based on what you are saying Chrism. Dont be surprised if theres more Price increases to come. As they have not officially anounced the kit prices for 2013. Even though we have seen some already. Also dont forget they might hit the Flying hours again. More Hours required per kit and postage cost.

As a non-Facebooker, I'm only aware of what goes on in that world when it's reported here. I still agree with naughty that they haven't updated their website page where you actually purchase it from.
The web page is still selling 2012 memberships but it sounds like if I bought one of those now, I would only get those terms for 1 week (i.e. 4 mags) - that would make me feel a bit done.
