Easy model to build, but the decals don't stick. I lost the front number plate at some point and will have to redo sometime.

Try using Klear as decal adhesive, it works very well.

It's unmistakably a Saracen!

your build looks very good . According to the instruction sheet the rearmost MG is a .303 Bren. However the shape of the kit supplied weapon mystifies me.Did the later brens change their shape to this or is it a poor representation from JB/Airfix ?

The later Bren had a straight magazine Ron.  It's also a poor representation!  :(

Nice looking kit and build otherwise.

Wouldn't it be a BREN reworked to 7.62mm to have the straight magazine? In which case, I'm surprised it's not much good, as the BREN in the Matchbox Dingo/Monty's Caravan kit is pretty good (same kit designer, IIRC).

Correct Brews... link to pic:

Must admit I thought the MB Bren you mention was pretty awful (magazine way too wide for a start) - maybe I'm just too picky.

Yes, this is the weapon that featured in "Lock Stock and Smoking Barrels" IIRC.

Thank you gentleman.I have recently rebought this kit and have commenced its build.I shall discard the Bren.I originally bought this as a JB kit nearly a decade ago and since my move cannot locate several boxes of completed builds.

Nice clean build - shame about the Bren though.  :P

These ex-JB moulds seem to come with very short stubby aerials - or was that the style for these vehicles?  The aerial supplied with the Vickers light tank seems very odd too...

Nice to see a vehicle done in a desert scheme .THe JB Saladin also had short stubby aerials.

All great builds there, I want to make an armoured car as to not worry about tank tracks.

Getting six wheels down on the deck together ain't much easier than tracks!

Nice builds guys.....I'm repainting my JB version (& just about everything else) at the moment!
