A Bedford MWR RVT115
This is converted from the MW out of the Airfix RAF vehicles set.
Unlike the army, the RAF used a specialised 'house type' body for their wireless trucks, in fact, the RAF had many more different types of signals vehicles, all of which were given a 'RVT' (Radio Vehicle Type) number. The RAF MWR chassis was also extended to accomodate the special body. The RVT115 was a low-power, Medium or High Frequency combined transmitter/ reciever vehicle, generally using a Type E Mk1 body.

The chassis was extended using plasticard.

A basic shell made using plasticard and detailed with microstrip.

The camouflage scheme is the standard scheme for 1943-ish, SCC2 brown & SCC1A dark brown.

Front view- I weathered using artists pastels.

Keep an eye out for this truck, it will reappear in another project.
