Here's my rendition of this kit with the Matador models upgrade kit. My only other additions were to widen the track by a couple of mm, headlamps from gemstones and some scratched mirrors and arms:

Some great finishes there. I tried making this year's ago and the tracks fell apart so it never got completed. I wish I'd known about super glue then.

Nice one, Steve! But how did you widen the tracks?

I didn't widen the tracks, I widened the track, i.e. made the width of the tank wider by about 2mm if memory serves.

Excellent vignette Malcolm :thumb:
The Scorpion is great, the figures are excellent (what are they?) and the base is incredibly lifelike ... and cold!
Cheers
David

Thanks all, especially to Corricon for the tip about widening the track. I did the mod to this kit after reading his post and I'm really happy with how it looks.

Thanks David. The figures outside the tank are Revell 1/76 British Paratroopers. The sprues still have the 'Matchbox' brand cast into them cast so obviously a re-box. Most of the figures are in fighting poses - but not wearing helmets - which makes them a little unrealistic but there were a couple of poses that suited my 'quieter' setting.
The tank commander is a WW2 driver from MMS (white metal casting) and the tank driver is a pilot from a Frog Airspeed Oxford with his goggles sanded off his helmet. :D
