Hi years ago I started building the end type jag airfix produced with the cast metal engine. I only remember because I was clearing out some of my model area and came across some of the engine parts (don't remember what happened to the body) i just wondered do they still make it and how much it would be, I know it was pricey then.

If this was the 1/24 Hi Tech release that you're referring to, Airfix never actually made it, it was a Gunze Sangyo re-box and effectively a limited edition for Airfix. Whether you manage to find an Airfix or Gunze issue, pricing is very inconsistent, I've seen them change hands for under a tenner one week, £30+ another, with Gunze boxed kits tending to attract higher prices (maybe punters don't realise what's in the Airfix boxes?).

This site is a mine of information thanks. As I remember I had no end of problems putting it together (probably due to lack of experience) also probably why it did not get finished, still can't remember what happened to body though.

The Gunze kits are multi media with quite complex engineering and parts breakdown, so they're not the easiest of beasties to work with. I would imagine that a lot of them get started but not finished.
