I'm looking for the paint colours that were used for BAC Jet Provost T5s XW354 and XW359. Blue camo pattern over a very light brown, looks like the standard Provost camo pattern. Any information will be greatly appreciated.

Never seen a Jet Provost T.5 in camouflage , some of the earlier T.4 serving with an RAF Tactical Weapons Unit wore Dark Green/Dark Sea Grey over Light Aircraft Grey which later changed to an Air Defence scheme in I think Medium Sea Grey over Barley Grey but they never used the T.5 for this as far as I am aware.

Only images I can see of the pair you mention are in a probably spurious scheme although maybe following the pattern used for some Strikemasters with a two-tone upper surface camouflage but the undersides are far too pale for Light Aircraft Grey as was commonly used by them and look almost white while with the blue and light grey on the uppersurfaces might easiest be matched using a colour chart.

Have you tried contacting the current or previous owner for information, some can be extremely helpful when an interest is shown in their aircraft?

Des the new owner of XW412 in SA is paint stripping the aircraft from it's unique scheme that it had White upper with Blue underside and a red cheat-line midway.

The owner saw photos of the aircraft that I mentioned and now would like to paint his aircraft the same.
It should be airworthy again later in the year.

Thanks for the help so far.

Geoff
