Can any keen UK based fisherman provide me with info on what possible colours a Minnow might be in a UK river? I'm especially interested if there are possibilities for either orange or black fins, with a generally silver body. A decent side view is required.

I did try google first, but many of the images I suspect are actually from petshops.

I know nil about fish, James, but Phildafish might know! :rotfl:

I know there are a few keen fishermen in the ATF so this bump will hopefully find one on the morning shift who can help! :thumb:

Don't know if its any help but in Danish Minnow are known as Elritse; did a google search which showed a number of pics.

Thanks guys. After a little more research I think I've established that there is only one species in the UK, so hopefully I've got it approximately right.
