Hi All, I am building the new 1:72 Bf 110 and I want to paint it the 1941 North Africa scheme. The instructions call for blue uniforms for the pilots, but I'm wondering whether they might be a sandy colour instead... Any ideas?
thanks

Either, uniform supply was not top of the list. The flight crews wore what was comfortable and what they had.

Its not just how good your painting is, its how good the touch-ups are too.

thanks, that's what it looked like from reference photos too... guess North Africa was a long way from all the brass buttons and saluting...

All the forces in North Africa wore a mixture of tropical and temperate uniforms, depending on what they had available

I have the same kit as you and may I advise you to make the lybian tropical and add a shark decal to the front, similair to the origional me-110 barbossa job it ends up looking amazing. The plane may not exist but for a smart dynamic job nothing beats it.
