I've used some uniform insignia decals on the figures for a recent group build and was asked about them so I thought I'd post my reply in this section as it seems the most appropriate. They're manufactured by a US firm called Company B. They state that the decals are for 28mm (1/56) scale figures but as you can see from the photo I've posted below they can go on 1/72 or 1/76 figures (the figures are from the Airfix Bofors Gun). They're range includes British (3rd Infantry Division, 50th Infantry Division and Airborne), US (various Infantry and Airborne) and German (Wehrmacht, Fallschrimjager and SS) insignia.

These decals don't react well with Humbrol matt varnish (as I found out to my cost :fear: ) so as well as a few coats of a gloss base before I applied the decals I also sealed the decals in with three coats of the same (I used Pledge Multi - Surface Wax) and then applied the varnish.

Here's a link to the relevant page on the Company B website:
They do ship internationally.

This is a link to the most comprehensive stockist I've found in the UK:
For some reason the direct link to the decals page doesn't come up so once you're on the site;
a./ click first on 'shop' (near the top left of the page).
b./ click next on '28mm decals/transfers).
c./ click next on your interest (ie WWII British).

There is another UK company that markets these type of decals but by a different manufacturer and here is their link: ... als?page=1
You'll find the figure decals at the bottom of page 1 and on page 2. They have a larger range of British units.

I hope this is of help to interested parties.
