Greetings,my friends ...

Once again I have need to draw upon the vast knowledge of the membership. I just got a Zis-42 semi-track and had an experience I've never had before. I discovered that although the decal sheet was the same as the one I'd seen in reviews,it was "not" the markings found on the instructions. No really big deal but the decals have something very interesting that I would like to know more about. The options I'm sure of are :

1) Standard vehicle probably from an artty unit. Standard markings of division code on both doors and large sized on tailgate. Artty sign on doors and rear.
2) possibly a civilian vehicle (got licence tags) or a military vehicle done up for a parade or rally. This is what intrested me. The Zis-42 is strange enough on its own but add posters banners and stripes and you really got an eye popper !!!

You can find a picture of the decal sheet over at Armorama in a build of the kit.

Thanks for your help...
Ennis ...

Not that I'm likely to be able to answer your question, but I don't know my way around Armorama - if you stick a link in to the sheet (just paste the URL), it will make easier for others to see what you mean.

Sorry, but I'm only semi-literate with computers and haven't a clue how to do that but the link to planetarmor has a good picture of the decal sheet. The other link ,is most likely, the way it should look as well as it may be where this scheme is from. All I could get from my phone app was "Volga Hydro electric dam. I would think that all those words mean more than that. Thanks for you help guys. I really appreciate it.
