For 1/72 scale is there any 'off the shelf' acrylic paint that represents British Army Olive Drab SC.15 in WW2?
I got a spray can from PSC - Army Sprays WW2 Armour - British but I'm not sure if it is correct?

Hello Larry, MiG do an off the shelf SC.15, A.MIG-112 SCC 15 (British 1944-45 Olive Drab), I have it in amongst my many paints. I can do a test spray for you if you like, just to see what it looks like.

Thanks for the replies.

It seems that Tamiya Olive Drab TS-70 (Japan Ground Self-Defense Force) enamel is also a reasonable match for SCC.15 in a small scale, when compared to the paint chips in Mike Starmer's book on British camo in NW Europe in WW2. It is a touch darker but under weathering it wouldn't be noticed. Tamiya also do Acrylic version of this too.

As for the PSC paint mentioned above has anyone tried it yet?

SCC.15 Service Drab was a visual (sample) based copy of the original US OD.41 Olive Drab, when faced with the prospect of repainting all US supplied equipment to match British built vehicles it was obvious that the the only sensible solution was to change UK factory finishes to match Lend Lease equipment and SCC.15 was born. Because SCC.15 used different ingredients it faded differently to the US colour, OD.41 faded to grey and SCC.15 faded to green. Humbrol 66 Olive Drab is a good match for either type of fresh Olive Drab.

David.

That's odd; H66 always dries grey when I use it (going back some 30 years).
