Hi Everyone,
I'm interested in getting copies of the reference material and conversion articles published in the old Airfix magazines of the '60s and '70s. Does anyone know if they're available at all ?
Thanks
Tony

The old magazines are still about
If you mean are the conversion articles on the webby, I don't think so
If there are some you are really interested put a 'wanted' in the wants section and ask folks if they send you a scan

Thanks Fred. The problem is that I don't know what is available, other then the few that I already have. Is it ok if I scan and post them here for others to use ?
Cheers

Post up a list of
a; what ones you have
b; what types interest you
between Andy and me we might be able to cover those
I also have some of the Airfix Guide books which have figure conversions in them
But note; prior to about 1974 [afair] the figure conversions were based on Almark figures - no longer available and a few using Historex and Britains parts. After about '74 when Airfix brought out the 54mm Collectors Series and the Multipose kits more conversions were based on those

That's entirely understandable; prior to the Collector's and Multipose series, all Airfix 54mm were one piece PVC mouldings.

Thanks for your offers of assistance everyone, its very much appreciated.
Since my original post, I've found a website that has copies of 81 of these magazines between 1964 and 1983. I'm not sure if it's ok to post the URL here, but if it is, I'm happy to do so to enable you to access them. Please also let me know if its ok to share it by PM.
I am still cataloging the list of figure articles that I have from these magazines. I'll try and finish that and post it here by the weekend.
I also have the Airfix Magazine Guide 19 - Model Soldiers, as a book. I can scan and share sections of this if required.
I 'm specifically interested in conversion articles for the Airfix 54mm Collectors Series and 1/32 multi-pose figure sets, as well as reference material related to figures. The series on British Army Uniforms 1660-1990 is an example of this.
Paul - I know I don't have the American Civil War articles.
Cheers
Tony

It works for me - and there on the Dec '69 letters page is a contribution from my 16 year old self, for which (IIRC) I received an HMS Victory (big version)

A short letter about a photo of a V1500 - typically pompous schoolboy stuff!
