Perchè (Italian for why)
60mm. Amazing sculpting and brushwork..especially that the oil painting on the altar is handpainted.

Red Square. Amazing brushwork on 1/72nd Napoleonic Inniskillings in square Formation. Try and recognise any of the figures...they are all heavily converted.

Difficult to recognise any of the figures :? An epic diorama :notworthy: though I don't like the black outline/cartoon style of painting

With you on that, Ratch, regarding the black outlining but it's mightily impressive nonetheless. I think I spotted a few familiar if heavily disguised figures, possibly a WWI British Infantry casualty and a fallen horse from the Italeri AWI British Light Cavalry cavalry among them.

Oh, my! I could only ever dream of doing something like that. I'm tempted to watch Waterloo for the umpteenth time now. :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy:

The fallen horse from the Italeri set..Bingo :thumb: I recognised it but couldn´t place it.
I reckon there´s a couple of Airfix figures in the line up..photo no# 20 for instance. In the left Hand Corner the one giving another a piggyback are from the Airfix Waterloo infantry set, in the rear rank (at the Level of the mounted officer) Looks like he´s one of the loading figs from the airfix Waterloo british and one or two who could also be airfix poses (Holding their muskets at the slope) but I´m not 100% sure

Also Revell artillery, the new italeri British infantry set, the HaT British peninsula set.
Still, where ever and what ever sets he´s used it´s an amazing dio. I particually like the way he´s added interaction among them..looking at each other etc..but There´s also, oddly, a couple of figs who are left handed

Edit..got one ...Photo 15..top right, the guy supporting the other..Esci WWII British Soldiers
http://www.plasticsoldierreview.com/Review.aspx?id=84
which means he´s used figs from just about any period making the Task of finding the source for most of the figures nearly impossible :hithead:

Edit 2...Edit..photo 16 The one running stooped..definately a WWII german but which set I´ve forgotten, a recent release ..Zvezda maybe and photo 20 middle..one of the dead, Airfix WWI british inf

Edit 3 ..mounted officer´s horse, Italeri´s French Imperial General Staff

Edit 4 ..Officer with sword raised, photo 15 bottom right- Italeri´s British Infantry 1815.
The same fig (sword arm replaced) has been used as one of the foot artillery (directly behind the mounted officer) and another of the foot artillery is also from the same set (Hand behind his back)

Drawing on such a range of figures from all periods you have to hand it to the maker for his skill in swapping heads, adding equipment etc - staggering amount of work. Personally, though, I'd shrink from committing so many figures to a permanent dio - I'd want them available for wargaming!

Not only are his models brilliant, but it's the speed with which he makes them. How is it even possible? I'm gobsmacked!
