I got the other camo colour on but,
a couple of steps backwards.
Not only was the canopy sitting badly but I'd used the wrong one, so I wacked it off, got the pilot out, trimmed his ar....um, bottom so he sits lower and put on the proper canopy.
This wrecked the paint around the canopy, so in an effort to redo that and get the design of the fuselage sides camo right I used the tin of Humbrol enamel 247, but as its very thin after three coats it still wasn't covering and looked a mess - off to the sink and a rub down with fine w&d.
I then used my old tin of Humbrol Authentics RLM75, not a bit like the new stuff, but it'll do as a covering coat.
Just about back on track now.
Photos later maybe

Paintwork tidied. First coat of the yellow is on. Its a bit streaky so it'll get another coat
I put sway braces on the drop tank.

Since these photos were taken the tank has been glued on and the spinner gun tube drilled out
Needs some paint touch-ins, and glossing up for decals

I'm sure it looks fantastic fred, yours normally do to my eye but as I know you're aware, thanks to the mongrels at everybodies now least favourite photo hosting site, I can't see a thing. :mad: :angryfire:

Glossed up, decals on;

I had to hand paint the spinner spiral; there was no way the decal was going to conform to the compound curvature, the decal is too straight. I could have cut it into 4 sections and put slight nicks into each to make it go round the spinner.

Just matt varnishing and some aerials and this will be done
~~I need to buy some fresh matt varnish [today].
