Not in great condition I grant you, but a BARV is a BARV and any views of this rare and unusual specialist AFV can only be of interest to anyone converting, scratchbuilding or making a kit of this.

the rear end is totally open to the elements with the rear engine decks and rear armoured plate missing, the view from here is the engine bay and on into the crew compartment.

this area seems really spooky when you try to imagine the conditions it was operated in, submersed like a submarine in seawater, feels nightmareishly clostrophobic.

I think there is an intact one at the DDAY Museum on Southsea Common Portsmouth, I'll try and get some shots next time I'm over there

at last, an image of an intact sherman BARV, this was taken in the late nineties, just before the BARV was taken into the DDAY museum Portsmouth.

LOL Ratch, I wish, Id still be in my late teens if it were. Thats my American Nephew Miles. I am having trouble getting that image up, I'll edit it again. Handy shot as this BARV is now in a quite dark room and not easy to get general view of.
