the mild steel has started to show itself up in this major failure, there can't have been much load on this, the tank never saw action.

there looks to have been some replacement of the solid rubber tyres, so maybe it was used for evaluation tests.

A couple of pictures of a Sherman taken outside the Military Museum in Tehran, not sure of the exact model but if it has a cast hull is it an M4A1? I was going to take some pictures of the Iranian T-55s,but the nice young man with the AK-47 said I couldn't because they were still using them!!!

I didn't see the Pzkw 38(t) until you mentioned it, and I doubt I could identify it without your assistance.

However, I can positively identify the Sherman as an M4A1(76)W.

nice images Trevor, won't take much to weld that barrel back on, one day, what is that hanging off the barrel of the second Sherman?

Pristina small arms Range, Kosovo 1999, what a Lark, manning a Sherman M4A3E4 that hasn't moved under it's own power since the old king died, that's me in the Turret and two officers I worked with in Media Ops KFOR

anyone interested in making a model of Fury from the current Brad Pit movie would be well advised to visit it in the Fury exhibition at Bovington tank museum, if you can't get down there here it is for your interest.

Fury depicts an M4A3E8 but the Bovington tank is an M4A2E8, very similar, in fact all the changes between the two tanks are hard to spot.
