Here's a truck that we found at East Kirkby, which appears to be the cab of the fire truck that is found with the Airfix Emergency set, but with a flatbed instead of the firefighting equipment:

I'd say it looks more like the Thorneycroft, but without the Coles crane  :roll:

There a quite a few things about this truck that suggest to me it is not a Thornycroft and I would say that it is more likely to be European .

The vehicle is a Volvo TL22 built circa 1955-59 that has been modified around the mudguards and headlights - possibly for film work
