Dear colleagues !

How are accurate and exact the vehicles scale plans by J. B. Church ?
Maybe, somebody checked those plans ?

For 1/76 scale models I work with I have found JB Church plans to be accurate. The ones I have used agree with the George Bradford plans (and I believe Bradford is currently considered mighty accurate).

Happy modelling!

I have checked several J B Church plans against other plans and vehicle dimensions and they have always been accurate.

The George Bradford plans are works of art but there is a problem with his White M3A1 Truck 15cwt 4 X 4 - Armoured Personnel; the passenger compartment extends too far behind the rear wheels.

Hi all. With the demise of BW models , does anyone know the owner/ supplier of the John Church afv plans?. Or is anyone willing to sell me any ,preferably the 1/76 engineering ones? Thanks Martin

I'm sure there was an earlier discussion about this but a quick search failed to find anything relevant.
Anyway, the bottom line is that John's family withdrew the plans from sale. This happened around the time Barry decided to retire BW Models but that wasn't the reason the plans became unavailable.
I can't help with copies of John's plans but you may find what you want in Geoff Lacey's catalogue. Dan Taylor from Dan Taylor Modelworks is now distributing Geoff's plans and you can obtain a catalogue by sending him an email. The website is http://www.dantaylormodelworks.com/
Cheers
David

Does anyone know if these are still available?

David.

In short, No...
However, Geoff Lacey's plans are still available and he has a large catalogue (I think he may have inherited/bought some John Church plans)

If you can get hold of the Bellona series of books (very expensive!)

I have a few of JC's plans, 53 of the 440 listed, mainly vehicles not armour, I think I have the complete listed pasted into a binder . . . dated 1978. Also on the list are 26 plans for various artillery guns.
These plans are 4mm = 1 foot (76th scale)
