The guy on the stake, Ashley I think he was called, was always a bit of a hothead and had a burning Ambition to do something else.

I have it on the best of authority, i.e. Wikipedia, that the person at the stake was in fact female, not male, and that her name was Cinderella. This gave rise to the pantomime in which she starred under an abbreviated form of her name.

I heard, that he was asked, "how would you like your Steak", and he replied "well done", (so are the figures).

My! What black humor!
Welll, I would add: she was hot and let them burn out!
Very good figures, Paul! :thumb:
P.S.: The figures remember me "The name of the Rose" and Bernardo Guy... Sinister guy!

Does someone remember when "Wonder Woman" was simply named "Marvila" :?:

Thanks Danny :)
I don´t think even she would remember her Name as Marvila. She was what ?, roughly 18-20 when she came out in 1941 so she´d now be 94 plus
Marvila..isn´t she called that in Spanish?

I don't know exactly if it was in Spanish or in Mexicanan magazines, Paul. I think there were Mexican, from Editorial Nogaro, the spanish version of DC Comics. I read them when I was a kid, in the sixties...
Maybe "Marvila" was the girl version of "Captain Marvel"... :?:

P.S.: "Marvila" or Wonder Woman may be 94, mate (I think more, bacause she was a Greek Godess), but she's very well preserved :heatwave: :!:

Nice work with the ladies Paul :DancingQueen: Don't forget you need to paint all those other Airfix poses before you get the other 29 fantasy sets :P

If it's any consolation, I think between us we must have done them all!

Maybe there could be a thread started, the A-Z of airfix figure sets or the history of airfix figures, 01701Guards Band to 01763WWII British Infantry. Members could add thier painted versions to the end of the thread and a mod or admin could move it into the appropiate place :?:
The Airfix figure pics section is ok but it looses it´s sequence making looking at all the sets a bit difficult.
